Villa Akeso is a one-bedroom single-story traditional Paxiot stone cottage with wonderful outdoor space around its own courtyard. There is a second double bedroom in the studio alongside the main cottage. It is set amongst the olive groves in a quiet and tranquil area, yet is within walking distance of a couple of good beaches on the island and the beautiful village of Fontana, famous for its churches and wonderful taverna. The village also has a café and a mini-market, and it’s not far to Magazia which has a selection of tavernas, cafes and a supermarket, whilst the picturesque fishing village of Loggos is a 5 minute drive away about the same distance the other way.
The villa has been built to a traditional specification and is well-equipped. There is an open-plan kitchen/dining/living room, with French windows opening out on to a terrace that forms a lovely square, from where steps lead up to the garden and the studio. The main building has a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and the studio has a double bedroom and a shower room.
Villa Akeso boasts some truly wonderful outdoor space with several different areas for enjoying your own part of this unspoiled area of the island. There is a good al fresco dining area in the terrace area and a lovely garden with olive trees.
The villa is also in a great location for exploring the countryside, coast and beaches around Fontana on foot, as a number of paths and tracks lead directly from the villa. Below the property and a short walk away you have the choice of two shingle beaches which are beautifully clean and wonderful for swimming and snorkelling. One of the beaches is completely uncommercialized, whilst the other does have sun-loungers and umbrellas and a small quiet café/bar. All bedroom and bathroom linen is included. Bath towels are also provided. This property comes with Free Air Conditioning.
