Positive: The Quest Albury on Townsend is in a superb location - a short stroll into town and also a leisurely and pleasant walk to the Murray River. Undercover parking is free and abundant, and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The showers are strong and hot, the beds firm and very large and the rooms are very quiet. Perfect for a one-night stopover between Sydney and Melbourne, and to enjoy the best things in Albury (a river swim and an excellent meal at a local Nepali restaurant).

Negative: The Quest on Townsend is just a tiny bit too new - it feels impersonal and a bit generic. I think it could do with some more real artwork (not pictures that look like they are AI generated), and maybe just a bit more wearing in. The staff who met us at reception seemed a bit frazzled. I'm not sure what was going on that day.

Summary: Superb location, clean, modern, and spacious.
